Make Up Edit: My Top 3 Concealers

Concealers are a heaven send.

They turn you from barely slept to ready to party in an instant.

I've tried many concealers to try and hide by stubborn bags but these ones are my favourites so far.

1. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in Fair Neutral

This one is definitely my number 1 for obvious reasons. It's creamy, it's full coverage and it's just so perfect!

The Fair Neutral has both pinky and yellow tones running though it so it acts as a concealer and a highlighter.

It also contains special ingredients which work to hydrate the area, leaving your under eyes feeling revitalised and fresh.

It's no wonder why so many people rave about it!

2. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Medium 1 Custard

This one is amazing! Everyone uses it. From Lauren Curtis, to Kylie Jenner, it's a world known fave.

The consistency is like the name says - creamy - and it works well with either your beauty blender, brush or fingers.

Medium 1 Custard is a great colour because it's got a pinky undertone which counteracts the blue in under eye circles, making it a genius coverup for stubborn bags.

3. Smashbox High Definition Concealer in Fair

I love this concealer because of it's level of coverage. Even though it isn't pinky based like the NARS one, it still works the trick because of it's full coverage application.

This one is creamy as well and works flawlessly with a beauty blender. It also helps highlight the under eye area too acting as a 2-in-1.

How To: Building Your Make Up Kit

Building your professional make up kit can be daunting.

You always wonder "Should I have this? Or this? Do I need this?"

I've decided to help with all the pre kit worries and create a list of some of the must have items that you need to have in your kit.

Whether you're a beginner or have a full kit and are looking for some more things to fill, this post is the perfect place to start.

1. Too Faced Foundation

I would recommend getting a variety of colours. You don't need every single one. Just get the basic light, medium and darks and then that way you can mix them to match your clients skin tone.

I would recommend:
- Porcelain
- Ivory
- Warm Nude
- Warm Beige

This foundation is also great for all skin types especially oilys. Drys work well with it too

2. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

3. Mascara Spooleys

4. Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Wiz

Again, I would recommend a variety of colours as not everyone has the same brow colour or suits a certain colour.

Colours to get:
- Soft brown
- Medium brown
- Deep brown

5. Anastasia Beverley Hills Cream Contour Kit

You could just buy the Light version as it seems to work well with all skin tones

6. Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminiser

7. Jessup Brush Set or Sigma Brush Set

Depending on your budget. It's a good idea though to invest in a killer brush set. If you can't though, Jessup Brushes are amazing too

8. Make Up Geek Starter Kit Eye Palette

9. Mac Pro Lip Palette

Great starter: Select Plums

10. Anastasia Beverley Hills Illuminator

Must haves: So Hollywood & Peach Nectar

11. NARS Pressed Powder

The colour 'Beach' is a great starting point and is multi functional

12. Stila One Step Correct Primer

13. NARS Cheek Studio Palette

This palette is great as it has bronzers, highlighters and blushes all in one!

14. Mario Badescu Facial Spray

This is a multi use spray as well as it can be used as a primer, setting spray or brush spray for more pigmented make up applications

15. Stila Eye Liner Smudge Pot

16. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

17. Urban Decay Naked Palette

I recommended number 3 & the Smokey Palette

18. Hourglass Panoramic Long Wear Lip Pencil

Have your basics such as:
- Canvas (Nude)
- Ballet (Pink)
- Raven (Red)

19. Korres Pomegranate Cleansing Wipes

20. Mecca Cosmetica Brush With Success

An amazing quick fix brush cleaner & sanitiser for when you're on the go or in between clients and can't wash your brushes properly

And there you have it. Some really great products to have in your kit for either the kit beginner or the kit extraordinaire

Social Edit: The 4 Current Youtubers I'm Obsessed With

Youtube video watching has become engrained in my every day schedule.

Morning. Afternoon. Night. In the Shower. In the car. At the beach. You name it.

I am proud to say that I am Youtube Video Obsessed!

For the Youtube beginners, or even people who are also obsessed that want some new people to obsesses over, I've decided to compile a list of my 4 current Youtube faves.

Now don't be fooled. They are all beauty-tubers. So if you're looking for any other youtuber category - you best look elsewhere!

1. Shani Grimmond

My sister and I literally follow Shani's every move. From snapchat to Instagram to Youtube to Facebook, we always stay up to date.

If you're looking for someone absolutely hilarious that's down to earth and doesn't care what people think about her then look no further.

2. Chloe Morello

I obsess over Chloe I think mainly for the fact that she looks like Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl. Plus her cheekbones are insane. It's kinda a love hate relationship as she's so perfect.

I obsess over her videos as she's super glam and also extremely honest. Like when she tried the By Terry Make Up Capsule. That was hilarious!

3. Kathleen Lights

I am obsessed with this girl. Her accent is incredible. Her husband is adorable. And her attitude towards life is infectious.

She also has a kick ass make up stash and really knows how to create some insanely gorgeous make up looks.

Favourite Video: Bride On A Budget

4. Dani Mansutti

I'm not a fan of many chit chat videos so I tend to just stick to the make up videos on her channel, but this girl is talented. She's also obsessed with her dog too and is super honest especially about topics that impact a lot of girls on a day to day basis.

Summer Body Edit: My Top 3 Tans

As much as I dread the transition to the sweltering humid heat from the crisp cool winter temps, I do love changing my skin tone from a pale white to a golden brown - without the sun.

Yes you heard correctly. Not all tans come from the suns rays. Enter fake tan.

Finding the right tan to suit your skin type and tone is imperative. Some tans turn me orange whilst others don't work at all.

But finally I've found my top 3 favourites that work with my skin type.

Here are my top 3 tans that I recommended you should have in your beauty cupboard or drawer right now!

1. Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam Dark

With green undertones, this tan doesn't turn you orange at all but instead leaves you olive and bronzed.

The foam texture allows easy application and allows you to also see any spots you've missed and the coconut scent prevents that classic "fake tan" smell.

This one is best applied with the Bondi Sands tanning mitt to prevent any streaking or staining of your hands.

2. Le Tan Wash Off Spray Deep Bronze

This tan is a god send. It's a spray and instantly develops kinda like make up for your body.

It can be applied with your hands as it washes off easily without staining. Talking about staining, it can also be removed with soap and warm water so you don't need to exfoliate until you bleed.

Wash Off Spray is perfect for last minute plans where a tan is definitely required!

3. Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse Ultra Dark

Looking for a natural extremely dark tan that would make any person returning from a holiday in the Bahamas envious? Well look no further. This mousse is perfection. The name Ultra Dark says it all - it's a fake tanner junkies heaven.

The colour guide technology allows for easy application. It's also cruelty free and paraben free - a massive added bonus!

Apply with a Loving Tan applicator mitt for best results.

And there you have it. My current top 3 tan faves!
